Dr. Lailan Syaufina is lecturer at the IPB University in Bogor and an expert on forest fires related to peatland land conversion, climate change, and land use changes. At national level, she has been resource person for forest fire and peatland related policies since 2002. She has been experienced with international collaborations, as resource person and evaluator for JICA forest fire projects and has been a national expert for ASEAN Peatland Forest Project in 2010-2014, and as research collaborator in projects of UNESCO, USAID, and Newton Fund in the aspects of haze affected communities, GHG emission and, peatland land use and land cover change.
